Teenagers Wreck £250.000 House While Drinking and Taking Drugs

Drunk and drug fueled teenagers totally wrecked a £250,000 house in one night during a party that 15 year old Gemma Johnson held while her parents where away.

The youngsters left a vast litter trail of beer cans and empty bottles of vodka and rum as well as illegal drugs.  They stole jewelry, smashed up furniture and even drugged the family dog.

When Julia and Robert Anscomb returned from their relaxing weekend, they were shocked and devastated to see their beautiful home in such a state.

“I was so upset when I saw the state of the house that I just wanted to set light to it. I didn't recognise it as my home.  "We went from room to room to see what they had done, trying to get over the shock” Julia said.

What was supposed to be just a couple of friends having a sleepover somehow turned into a drunken party with more than 50 youngsters congregated in the five bed-roomed semi detached home.

From a fridge being scratched with a knife to their 8 year old daughter’s bedroom being completely destroyed, as well as two laptops, an iPod and passport being stolen, 57 phone calls had also been made on the house phone.

There was not one bed that had not been slept in or used for whatever reason and all the rooms had graffiti drawn on the walls.

Their daughter Gemma who has never been in trouble before and gets straight ‘A’s at school has run away to a friends house and has not been back to see the damage to the house.

She told her mother over the telephone that the party was attended by gatecrashers who she believed had heard about it over the networking website Bebo.

Gemma’s parents say that although they were aware there was alcohol in the house, they trusted their daughter.  She is now having a ball while staying at a house where she is allowed to stay out until midnight.

Mrs. Anscomb said, "I will probably have to end up going to court to get her back. I have packed her bags and moved her things out to her dad's house, but she still refuses to leave her friend's house.

"Kids are doing this sort of thing and then running off and not facing their responsibilities.  "It is now time she came home and faced the music."

Police have confirmed they visited the house on the evening of the party where they confiscated alcohol from youths who were loitering nearby.  The youths told the police officers they were on their way to the party.

Out of Hand Underage Drinking

Teenage parties have been getting out of hand for many years, but somehow the total disregard of people’s homes is a thing of the past and underage drinking has been a huge problem for a long time.  It now far too easy for the youngsters to get alcohol on a large scale.

With the country now holding the highest rates of underage drinking in the world with a £20b plus annual bill for alcohol misuse, should the drinking age of alcohol be raised to 21?  Should the Government crack down harder on those yobs that seem to think that downing 6 pints with vodka chasers in half an hour is fun? Should those responsible drinkers have to put up with much higher prices of alcohol?

Who knows! All we do know is this problem is getting worse by the week and the youth of today seem to be drinking themselves into early graves with not a jot of worry regarding their health, money or family!

Its long overdue when something needs to be done for these  irresponsible yobs who seem to be hell bent on having fun with drink and getting away with it!!!!
